State Wellness Center & Pharmacy

The State Wellness Center (SWC) is conveniently located in downtown Montgomery at 101 South Union Street. The hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Thursday’s hours are 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.

The last available clinic appointment for all days is 4:30 PM. Please call the clinic at (334) 263-8470 or (877) 311-1375 to schedule an appointment.

Clinic:

The State Wellness Center’s (SWC) mission is to provide a convenient and free source of urgent/acute care for members and their covered dependents, age 12 and older. Our team of medical professionals is dedicated to providing the highest quality care and excellent service while encouraging a continued relationship with your own personal physician.

Below is a list of some of the services and programs available at no cost to you.

  • Annual wellness screenings for employees and covered spouses
  • Sports physicals for covered dependents age 12 and older
  • Immunizations
    • Flu
    • Tetanus
    • Shingles
    • Pneumococcal
    • Meningococcal
    • HPV vaccines
  • TB skin tests
  • Limited Women’s health services
  • Treatment of common illnesses include, but are not limited to
    • Flu
    • Strep Throat
    • Bladder Infections
    • Ear, nose, and throat infections
  • Treatment of minor wounds, abrasion and skin conditions like poison ivy and acne
  • Patient Education:

Patients who are pregnant, have severe or persistent conditions, have temperatures over 103 degrees, or have potentially compromised immune systems may be referred to another care setting.

If lab test are performed outside the SWC, you will be responsible for applicable co-pay(s).

Pharmacy:

The SWC Pharmacy is another added advantage for members and your covered dependents. You can have prescriptions called in to our pharmacy, and it is convenient for you to get your medications filled onsite after having seen the SWC’s physician or nurse practitioner. Prescriptions are also available for worksite delivery within the Montgomery City limits.

The pharmacy offers a number of over-the-counter medications and items at a fraction of the cost of other retail stores.

The State Wellness Center Clinic and Pharmacy are closed on weekends and all State holidays.
