Open enrollment is November 1 through November 30. Open enrollment is available for:

  • Employees and retirees who have declined coverage and now wish to enroll in a plan
  • Employees and retirees who wish to change plans
  • Part-time employees who wish to enroll in a plan
  • Employees and retirees who wish to change to family coverage or add an eligible dependent to their existing family coverage.

Remember, even if you currently participate, you must enroll every year to take advantage of the tax savings on contributions to the Health Care Reimbursement Account (HCRA) and the Dependent Care Reimbursement Account (DCRA). Your membership does not automatically renew.

Flexible Benefits participants in the HCRA can carry over up to $500 of their unused balance to the next year, provided they re-enroll in the HCRA. Any unspent funds over $500 will be lost.

Once again, the State has gone one step further to show employees that their Flex contributions save them money (and the State saves on FICA taxes.) The State is contributing $50 to every employee who enrolls in the HCRA and has an annual deduction of at least $120 – or $5.00 per pay period!

Do you currently have an online account?

YES
Since you already have an account simply login at my.alseib.org and you will have the ability to update policy information, enroll in FLEX, modify dependent information, etc.

NO
You will need to create an online account before you can request changes to your account online. This can be done in a few simple steps:

  • Go to the Registration page, select "SEIB Member Account" as the Account Type, and sign up for an online account. Have your BCBS card handy; you will need your contract number (the EIB prefix is not used).
  • After registration you need to check your email. You MUST click the Activate Account link in your email before you can login.
  • You are done! Simply login and start requesting changes.
